From the Head of Middle School
At the heart of our Middle School is the understanding that all students learn differently – every journey is unique to the individual. The staff at Tatachilla believe that it is a privilege to work with our students at this point in their educational journey and we walk beside our students, encouraging them to utilise their talents and grow in their values, thus equipping them with the skills they require to move seamlessly into their future pathway in the senior years.
Tatachilla's Middle School includes Year 7 through to Year 9. When students arrive at Tatachilla they are placed in a Home Class, and their Home Class teacher is responsible for the pastoral care of each child in their class. Parents are encouraged to communicate with the Home Class teacher to discuss their child's academic, physical, social, emotional and spiritual progress. We are committed to working in partnership with parents, and our academic and cultural program encourages students to develop their initiative and explore their identity. We have a smaller number of teachers delivering the core curriculum and therefore staff within the Middle School can effectively support students in their daily walk through genuine care and concern.
If you would like to know more about Tatachilla's Middle School, please either make a time to come for a private tour, or book into one of our regular College Tours. The students and staff in the Middle School look forward to sharing their learning and classrooms with you.
