How to become a Tatachilla Volunteer
Volunteers Training Program
The college appreciates and values the volunteer support of parents and other caregivers. Through your support, you allow our community to thrive and be enriched by connecting our students and staff more widely than just the walls of the college.
The Volunteer Training Program is a 5 step process that involves the following:
- Completion of the Volunteer Registration Form and return it to volunteers@tatachilla.sa.edu.au
- WWCC (Working With Children Check)
Applicants must submit their full name, date of birth and a valid email address to volunteers@tatachilla.sa.edu.au. Once received, an email will be sent to the applicant for completion.
- Valuing Safe Communities Course
The applicant is to complete the Valuing Safe Communities online module (approx 45mins). An instruction pamphlet, including a link and password key will be sent via email to the applicant on receipt of the Volunteers Registration Form.
Once completed, the applicant will receive a Certificate of Completion. A copy of this certificate is to be presented to the college.
4. RRHAN training course
The applicant is to complete the short online training RRHAN course (approximately 2 hours) Instructions will be emailed to applicants.
5. Child Safe Policy
Applicants are to read and familiarise themselves with the college's Child Safe Policy here.
Steps 1-5 can be completed at any time. However, applicants will not be able to volunteer until all five steps, including the Working With Children Check have been approved.
