How to enrol

Step 1    College tour

Families are strongly encouraged to attend a college tour prior to, or in addition to, lodging a formal Registration of Interest form with the college.

Step 2    Registration of Interest form

To commence the formal aspect of the enrolment process, families are encouraged to lodge an online Registration of Interest form as early as possible. 

A non-refundable registration fee of $50 applies per family (i.e. only one fee needs to be paid for student applicants from the same family).

Families will need to provide the following supporting documentation at the same time as their Registration of Interest form:

1. Certified copy of student’s birth certificate
2. Copy of two most recent school reports (if applicable)
3. Copy of most recent NAPLAN results (if applicable)
4. Copy of student’s passport and visa (if the student is not an Australian Citizen)
5. Copy of court order and/or parenting plan pertaining to the guardianship arrangements for the student (if applicable)
6. Copies of relevant reports/assessments/plans relating to special learning needs and/or wellbeing and health management
7. Copy of personalised education plan / Individual Education Plan (IEP) from current school (if applicable)

Step 3    Interview

Enrolment interviews are held with a member of the college leadership team and our Enrolments Registrar. In some cases, an additional follow-up interview may be held if further discussion is required around student needs or support.

Step 4    Formal offer 

All formal offers made by the college are subject to availability and a commitment from students and their families to uphold the college’s ethos, values and codes of conduct. 

Step 5    Offer acceptance

A position at the college is confirmed once families have signed and returned the Tatachilla Lutheran College enrolment contract and paid the college enrolment deposit of $450 in full.

Step 6    Welcome and orientation

New students are warmly welcomed into the Tatachilla community through a carefully planned transition visit in the year prior to commencement. 

Students entering Year 7 have the opportunity to attend two transition visits, as they are making the significant move from the junior years to the middle years. 

Students entering Reception have the opportunity to attend four orientation mornings prior to commencement, to help them transition from the early learning environment to the school environment.
